A basket wielding, filter feeding shrimp from Africa. They are an incredible blue that deepens to a bright navy as they age. Truly a spectacular species. They are not capable of harming another aquarium inhabitant. They do not grab fish like crayfish species or even some other large shrimp. They use their baskets to capture particles from the sediment and from the passing water column. They leave small and large fish alone entirely! I love a small desktop tank with school of nano fish and and a few of these guys.
